Koirakoulu. Doggy school.

Aulis jääräpää joka ei yleensä usko mitään käskyjä tai komennuksia on selvästikkin tullut kehityksessään siihen vaiheeseen että hienovarainen käytöstapojen ja perustottelevaisuuden opetus on syytä aloittaa. Aloitimme muutama viikko sitten peruskäskyllä "istu" ja sen Aulis oppi ihan muutaman yrityksen jälkeen (tietenkin hän tekee mitä käsketään, koska siitä saa juustopaloja tai muuta hyvää) nyt lisäsimme panoksia ja opetimme hänelle "tassu" noh... aikansa siinä kesti mutta nyt se sujuu kuin rasvattu. Tänään leikimme sohvalla ja puolivahingossa tulin opettaneeksi Aulikselle "gimme five" ja sekin sujuu muitta mutkitta. Opettelimme myös "maahan" mutta sen toteuttamisessa on Auliksen aivoilla vielä hieman prosessoitavaa. Tälle koirakoululaisele antaisin arvosanaksi 10 niin reipas ja ahkera on tämän nuoriherra ollut. Saa nähdä tarvitseeko meidän mennä oikeaan koirakouluun kesällä?

Ainiin esimerkkinä Auliksen tottelemattomuudesta; olimme viikonloppuna mökillä ja Aulis karkasi jäälle, lukuisista "tänne" kutsuista huolimatta vauhti vain koveni ja lopulta herra mulahti rantaveteen. Noh omaa hölmöyttäni kun kuvittelin että minulla olisi jotain sanavaltaa..... Onneksi ei käynyt mitään ja Aulis pääsi mökin lämpöön takan viereen makoilemaan (jossa hän makoilikin koko loppupäivän)

Aulis stubborn mule who never does anything I tell him to do, seems to have matured a little bit to a level where now is a good time to start basic lessons on good behaviour and basic obedience. We started few weeks ago with basic command "sit" and he learned it really fast (well there is nothing he won't do for a bite of cheese). Now we added some difficulty to this game and tought him to "give paw" it took a little time but now its running like butter. And today I was playing with him on the sofa and sort of accidently tought him to "gimme five" its easy to him as well. I also added the basic "down" but its not going too smoothly yet... we'll get there soon. Aulis has been a really good boy and studied really hard. We'll have to see if we have to go to a real doggy school next summer?

Oh and here is an example of Aulis not doing what he is told. We were at our summercottage the other day and Aulis ran on to the ice, not obeying my command to come back, he fell to the strand water... he was OK but we had to take him inside the cottage to warm up next to the fireplace.... where he slept the rest of the day.
